Black women agree with Don Imus…right?

It’s a damn shame to say, but apparently, a bunch of black women across the nation agree with racist radio host Don Imus, who, in a 2007 on-air conversation with executive producer Bernard McGuirk, referred to Rutgers’ women’s basketball team as some “rough girls” that looked like “nappy-headed ho’s”.

If you don’t remember the conversation…here is the main excerpt.

Imus: That's some rough girls from Rutgers. Man, they got tattoos and—

McGuirk: Some hard-core ho’s.

Imus: That's some nappy-headed ho’s. I'm gonna tell you that now, man, that's some—whew. And the girls from Tennessee, they all look cute, you know, so, like—kinda’ like—I don't know.

McGuirk: A Spike Lee thing.

Imus: Yeah.

McGuirk: The Jigaboos vs. the Wannabes—that movie that he had.

Now, don’t get me wrong people, I am not calling any black woman this disgraceful name myself, all I am saying is that by speaking out against American Gymnast Gabby Douglas’ hairstyle, these foolish women (I’ll keep them unnamed, though you can search the Internet for yourself) and their acts of stupidity, simply gave credence to the deplorable words that Imus uttered five years ago.

In speaking out against the electrifying Douglas, (whose hair was just fine mind you), all of these extremely shallow – and apparently, immensely jealous – back women reaffirmed the notion that if a woman’s hair isn’t straightened, it means she’s nappy-headed.

And as Imus said, if you’re nappy-headed, then you must be a ho right? Because those two things go hand-in-hand…correct?

Of course they don’t…and to even suggest so is absolutely insane. However, every black woman that had something negative to say about Gabby Douglas’ hair, basically agreed with what Don Imus said about black women on-air nearly five years ago – whether they want to admit it or not!
