Rondo coming of age!

Rajon Rondo put on a performance
for the ages against Philadelphia.

The Boston Celtics saw often-enigmatic point guard Rajon Rondo elevate his game to another level as the fleet-footed floor leader scored 11 of Boston’s final dozen points en route to a team-high 18 points and the ninth playoff triple double in his still-blossoming career.

This latest development for Rondo and the C’s could spell trouble for a Miami Heat team that looked fantastic over its final three games in dispatching the Indiana Pacers in the last round.

If Rondo can penetrate the lane at will against Miami (he will) then that could open things up for Boston’s mostly perimeter-oriented ballclub. Whether that translates into a series win and trip to the NBA Finals for the Celtics or not, one thing is clear…the Celtics are clearly no longer just a ‘Big Three’.
