While it’s
been a tad of a roller-coaster season for the Philadelphia Eagles in head coach
Chip Kelly’s inaugural season in the NFL, the fact of the matter is that there
has been far more good than bad for the City of Brotherly Love’s beloved NFL
franchise.
Having
said that, I also want to go on record right now to say that the Dallas Cowboys
look like they’re an accident waiting to happen as they get set for a
winner-take-all Week 17 NFC East showdown against the division-leading Birds.

Yes, I
know the Cowboys will be coming into this contest with a bit of momentum after
narrowly beating Washington in Week 16 to keep their postseason hopes alive for
what will be a third consecutive season-ending contest that will determine
their postseason fate.

The good
news is that Dallas will be playing this contest on
their home field. The bad news is that Dallas lost at Washington 18-18 last season and at New York 31-14 in 2011, not to mention, falling to
Philly 44-6 in 2008 in another regular season finale that
kept them out of the postseason. Overall, the Cowboys are a pitiful 2-11 in their last 13 Week 17 games since
2000 and seeing as how Philadelphia demolished Chicago 54-11 in Week 16, things don’t bode well
for the ‘Boys at all.
