RG3 to Indy?

Prior to Jim Irsay’s strange move to fire knowledgeable GM Bill Polian and his son Chris as part of a ‘rebuilding’ campaign, the Colts’ organization seemed to be leaning toward taking Heisman Trophy-winning Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III, the aptly named RG3.

Now, with a new GM apparently on the way and the Colts’ draft plans undoubtedly up in the air, no one knows what the Colts are going to do with the first overall pick in the NFL Draft.

While former Stanford star Andrew Luck is clearly the most NFL-ready college quarterback in the country, I’m going on record right now to say the Colts should draft griffin II instead of Luck, while holding on to Peyton Manning for a couple of more seasons while he helps groom the highly athletic Griffin into an NFL quarterback.

Maybe it’s me, but I’m thinking Griffin would be an absolute terror for defensive coordinators everywhere after learning how to succeed as a passer in the NFL and combining that with his well-documented fleet feet!
