Maybe it’s me, but I’m perplexed as to why Dallas Cowboys
and Philadelphia Eagles fans all over the country are so excited about their
respective teams’ Week 9 victories.
Dallas (5-4) narrowly managed to beat the lowly, one-win
Minnesota Vikings 27-23 on a late touchdown after veteran quarterback Tony Romo
tried to throw the game away with a costly fourth quarter interception (again).
Philadelphia (4-5)
beat the snot out of the equally pitiful Oakland Raiders 49-20 as second-year
quarterback Nick Foles tied an NFL record with a whopping seven touchdown
passes. Again however, it’s not like Philly beat a very competent opponent,
seeing as how the Raiders are just 3-5 heading into Week 10.

Now, I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade or anything,
but the fact of the matter is that, whichever team wins the weak NFC Least this
season, they’re likely going to be a one-and-done playoff team, unless you
think either of these teams can beat the likes of Seattle, San Francisco and
Green Bay, the likely top three seeds in the NFC postseason.
Sorry Cowboys and Eagles fans…while your teams won this past
weekend…I am most definitely, not impressed.
