It’s the power principle, oh, oh!

No player on the WTA Tour can match the
power of 2012 Wimbledon champ Serena Williams.

In a tribute to my girl Janet Jackson’s 1987 hit song, Pleasure Principle, I had to shine the spotlight on Serena Williams’ unmatchable power! From her one-of-a-kind ability to crank up serves that routinely approach 120 miles per hour, from her forceful groundstrokes off of both wings, Williams is generally just too strong for her much weaker opponents. When she does manage to meet up with another player with comparative power, Williams generally has the upper hand in athleticism and movement. So, what’s a girl to do to beat the overpowering Serena Williams?

Keep as many balls in play as possible – and pray like the Dickens for a multitude of mistakes from the often combustible Williams – and even then – her opponents are grasping at straws.
