I predicted a win for Victoria Azarenka at this year’s Australian Open and the blonde bombshell from Belarus didn’t disappoint in laying a swift 6-3, 6-0 smackdown on Maria Sharapova this past weekend. Azarenka has undergone a mental transformation from an often emotionally unstable star that couldn’t maintain focus for very long to one that now looks like the Rock of Gibraltar on a mental stability scale.

For Azarenka to destroy such an accomplished player as Sharapova in her grand slam finals debut leads me to believe that she’s in for a real breakout season that could very well include another grand slam title –if not two.
