Yo NBA fans, San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, apparently is a bit ticked off with today’s American culture (and rightfully so I say).
‘Pop’ who has years of experience with international players like Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, sounded off recently when asked about Minnesota Timberwolves rookie point guard Ricky Rubio making the transition to the U.S., its cultures and the American game.
"These guys, they travel around the world," Popovich said of international players. "They're more cultured than we are. Everyone acts like Americans are the ones ... Like we're the cultured ones? Are you serious? Have you watched TV lately? Have you seen what Americans do? How many languages do you speak? And you wonder how they're going to adjust to our culture? I hope they avoid it and keep their own!"
Ooookay Pop, now tellus here at Eye on Sports how you really feel!
