If Mama’s Not Happy, No One’s Happy!

I just had to make an Eye on Sports comment on Geismar (La.) Dutchtown High safety Landon Collins and his nationally-televised ‘mama drama’.

You see, Collins is one of the nation's top defensive backs and he was making his oral commitment on live TV during the annual Under Armour High School Football All America Game.

Collins, the No. 15 overall recruit in the nation according to Rivals.com, chose to attend Alabama over in-state Louisiana State. Unfortunately, Collins’ mother wasn’t too pleased with her son’s selection – and she didn’t mind showing it either!

Now, while a lot of folks want to make mom out to be some sort of monster for stealing her son’s moment, I just think it was more comical than anything else, especiallymama Collins’ "Go Tigers" chant.

Besides, everyone knows –and now so does Collins – that, when mama’s not happy, no one’s happy!
