Of course, I’ve got some thoughts rattling around in the old noggin’ that NFL fans and betting buffs everywhere will enjoy as they get on their way for the start of a brand new work week (sorry).
The New York Jets are starting to look like the Jets they’ve been the past two seasons, particularly on the defensive side of the ball.
Despite their loss to the J-E-T-S, I still believe the Buffalo Bills are a legitimate playoff contender in the AFC this season.
The Dallas Cowboys may have beaten the lowly Seattle Seahawks 23-13 in their Week 9 matchup, but if you ask me, the game showed just how mediocre the ‘Boys are, not the other way around. No matter how hard they tired, Dallas just didn’t look much more competent than the mediocre Seahawks.
Ho-hum the Indianapolis Colts suffered another blowout loss this weekend and have now allowed an unheard of 120 points in their last three games. I don’t care what anyone says, Peyton Manning or no Manning, that’s just disgraceful – and unacceptable!
Oooookay! For the second week in a row, we’ve had to endure an absolutely head-scratching upset loss. Last week it was the Rams beating the Saints and this week, the lowly Dolphins got their first win of the season by laying an inexplicable smackdown n the streaking Kansas City Chiefs. This, as they say, is why they pay the games!
Am I the only one that knew the Washington Redskins never stood a chance to beat San Francisco on Sunday? Just asking?
Could someone please tell Tampa Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris that it’s kind of hard trying to win when your offense is reminds everyone of the days when teams threw the ball 75 percent of the time.
The Houston Texans are scary good on offense while the Cleveland Browns are still just scary mediocre, no matter whom they bring in to run their organization.
Okay, now Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals are really starting to make me believe they’re for real while the Tennessee Titans have faded over the last month or so like an old pair of jeans.
The Oakland Raiders are starting to look more like the mediocre bunch we’ve come to know over the last decade or so … and maybe Tim Tebow isn’t quite as bad as we all thought just a week ago.
Okay, I’m going to just throw this out there. Outside of Aaron Rodgers, has there been a more valuable player in the league than Eli Manning? And speaking of the younger Manning, I’m going on record to say that he’s done more with less in his career than his ‘more gifted’ older brother Peyton, but hey, that’s a story for another day.
The New England Patriots have some serious problems on the defensive side of the ball, but at least they’ve still got Tom Brady! BTW, has anyone seen Chad Ochocinco?
Did anyone watch Sunday’s Week 9 matchup between the Rams and Cardinals? Didn’t think so!
Okay, the Green Bay Packers have been more than generous with their pass defense this season, but hell, they’re still undefeated - and now – Aaron Rodgers is clearly the best quarterback in all of football.
Are the San Diego Chargers the most underachieving team in the NFL? Hell yeah – and they have been for at least a decade now!
The Baltimore Ravens got robbed on the first play of the game when ray Rice burst through the middle for an apparent 80-yard touchdown run only to see it called back on a questionable holding penalty, so I guess justice was served in seeing them get a thrilling 23-20 win over Pittsburgh on Sunday night.
