Simply
put, Williams can overpower the rest of the WTA Tour almost at will! To see her
recently destroy the likes of many of the best players in the world, it’s
become crystal clear that Williams is going to be the definitive
odds-on-favorite to win every grand slam she enters outside of the French Open
at least for the foreseeable future.
Sure,
there are some experienced veterans on tour like Maria Sharapova and Victoria
Azarenka, as well as numerous rising stars like Angelique Kerber, Sabine
Lisicki and even Sloane Stephens, but the fact of the matter is that Serena
Williams still possesses the greatest serve the women’s game has ever seen and
undoubtedly some its most powerful groundstrokes.
Again, it
doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that these long-standing facts will keep
Williams at the top of the list when it comes to winning grand slam events, at
least for the next couple of seasons.
With 15
grand slam titles already in her pocket, Williams has a great chance to equal
both, Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova with 18 career grand slam titles.
